The prior owner bought the boat at the Miami Boat Show fully loaded with features.  He was a highly experienced boater that had cruised his Nordhavn 62 to Alaska and Tahiti, and he cruised our Aquila 48 to the Bahamas 3 times, and did the Great Loop. Two of the truly critical and differentiating features of this Aquila 48 are the lower helm and the larger engines.  The lower helm makes long passages fun, like driving from your living room while hanging out with family and friends.  It is quiet, and you can talk on your speaker phone and people can’t believe that you are at sea.  The lower helm features an extra wide and comfy swiveling and reclining Captain’s chair.  The larger engines are critical for keeping the boat on plane without working the motors too hard. Catamarans are awesome!  This 48 has the space and accommodations of a 60+ foot monohull, and is more stable both at sea and on anchor.
