The NEW WINDELO 50 ADVENTURE (model year 2024) is a perfect blue water electrical catamaran. It is environmentally friendly fast cruising catamaran that performs well even when it is fully loaded for a blue water adventure. It has a powerful rig, modest displacement, and daggerboards. Built with a focus on sustainability, this innovative catamaran incorporates recycled and lightweight materials for an eco-friendly construction.
With a bit effort in planning to avoid long motoring times, it is possible to leave zero carbon footprint. The boat is equipped with electric engines, 4500W solar panels, 400W wind turbine, 18kW diesel genset and hydrogeneration that starts to be effective at 6-7kt water speed. With this setup, even in winter time when there are mostly cloudy days, there is enough electricity for domestic consumtion and moving in/out of marinas/anchorages without running the genset.
The boat was delivered in December 2023, therefore, the model year of the boat is 2024.
The boat has sailed approx. 12000nm and is tested in various circumstances up to 15ft waves and 60kt winds. Almost all problems and issues (that usually come with any new boat) are fixed. The catamaran is well-maintained with sustainability in mind.
The catamaran boasts an unique design with rudders located in front cockpit, offering 360-degree visibility and excellent protection from any weather. This innovative placement eliminates the need to be outside in strong winds, showers, sun or night watches, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
The owners' version features one bedroom and a large bathroom on the port side, while guest accommodations offer two bedrooms, a separate shower, and a toilet on the starboard side. The stern side can be transformed into an outdoor zone with a sofa, a removable table, and a drop-down platform, creating additional versatile and enjoyable living space.
For optimal airflow throughout the cockpit and saloon area, all stern doors, front windows, and side windows can be opened. Additionally, the boat is equipped with air conditioning for added comfort during warmer conditions and diesel heater for colder conditions.
