    Farr 1104 (available)

    Sandwich, Kent, Vereinigtes Königreich
    1976
    €20.675

Specifications:   Year:                       1976                       LOA:                       36' Beam:                     12' 2"                                              Draft:                      6' Construction:          Carbon Fibre                                     Hull/Keel:                Fin HIN:                       Alfa 1   Description: Design No. 51 (Farr 1104) represents Bruce Farr's first commission for a full blown IOR race boat. The first boat launched to the design - PROSPECT OF PONSONBY - although built with a cruising interior, immediately won the Southern Cross trials, and became the top scoring boat in the 1975 South Cross Cup. PROSPECT's success was followed by JIMINY CRICKET, a true race version, which swept away with the New Zealand Dunhill Series in 1976, 2nd in the 1976 New Zealand One Ton Cup Championships, and 5th place in the 1976 World One Ton Championships. Fibreglass production of cruiser/racer versions was established in New Zealand and Australia in the form of the FARR 1104. Many of these boats are enjoying racing success still in today's competitive IOR fleets. Rule changes in 1978 have affected these boats more than any other design. Some boats get relief through the Mk IIIA allowance by being produced from moulds built before 1976. Others rate approximately 29 ft under present IOR Rule. Design No. 51 also represents the final stage in the development of the safe, efficient, easily handled fractional rig without running backstays which is now a feature of most of Farr's modern fast cruising yachts, and which has been successfully copied by many other cruising and One Design Racing boats. This design also proved to the world that Farr had developed a new style of ocean racing yacht that exhibited superior all round speed and significantly better handling characteristics than any previous boat. The success of these boats spawned many others including SWEET OKOLE - winner 1977 SORC, 1981 Transpac; 45 DEGREES SOUTH II 1st 1976 New Zealand One Ton Championship (under the name of THE NUMBER) - 4th 1976 World One Ton Championships; and PICCOLO - winner 1976 Sydney to Hobart Classic.   Engine(s) & Electrical: Bukh 10hp diesel. €5.739

Year:                       1993                       LOA:                       6.30 m Beam:                     2.50 m                                              Draft:                      10" Construction:           GRP                                                   Hull/Keel:                Lifting HIN:                        N/A   Description: Included in the sale will be a set of sails (main, jib, storm jib and a spinnaker with 3 storage bags), a spare main sail and a spare jib - the storm sail and the spinnaker have never been used.  Also included is the trailer. The trailer was purpose made for her - some of the photos here are old ones and it has been modified since then so that there are 2 arms that she sits on so that she is in a type of cradle that holds her snugly whilst on the move. The trailer has been completely overhauled - new wheel bearings, new brake pads, new brake cables, new tyres which are fully weighted for the weight of the boat - not just ordinary trailer tyres, repainted and new jockey wheel. The bottom of the hull has just been anti fouled and the deck has had a new coat of anti-slip paint and the name re-signwritten. 3 fenders hang on the back of the boat. There is a new compass on board, a speedo and a depth gauge. There is a new vhf ship to shore radio - never been used. There is an aerial on the top of the mast and a wind direction indicator. All the cleats that hold the rope for the sails have been replaced and are new. Inside the cabin is red tartan and the height is very good. She is a 4 berth - there is a double bed at the front with 2 singles on the sides which double up as sofas. All have storage under them. There is also a storage locker at the back and a large drawer of ropes etc that pulls out under the step down into the cabin. 4 large material pockets hang on the walls for storage which are ideal for flares, life jackets, etc. In the middle of the cabin is the galley area which has room for a camping stove, a couple of shelves on the wall, a sink with tap and a storage cupboard. There is also a drop down table which can be put up in the middle for when you are sat on the sofa / bed. One of the biggest selling points of her is that she has a dropped keel so with that pulled up she will float in 9 inches of water and so you will get a lot longer on the tide and can get into shallower bays with her. She tows very well on the trailer.   Engine(s) & Electrical: Mercury 4hp, 2-stroke Saildrive.   Accommodation & Below Deck: 4 berths, cloth upholstery, drop-leaf saloon table, gas cooker, galley sink, pumped cold water system.   Deck & Canvas: Sloop rig, 2 sheet winches, anchor, anchor locker, stainless steel pushpit & pulpit, forehatch, stanchions, guardwires.   Navigation & Safety: Log/speed indicator, VHF, compass, lifejackets, flares, lifebouy.   Miscellaneous: Twin axle road trailer. The lifeboat was designed as a prototype by James R. Barnett who was a consulting naval architect to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. She was the first Barnett-class lifeboat and at the time of her launch, she was the largest lifeboat in the world. This new design of motor lifeboat was a radical departure from previous RNLI rescue boats. It was nearly 60 feet (18m) long with a beam of close to 15 feet (4.6m). The William and Kate Johnston was pushed through the water with twin propellers which were housed in tunnels. To drive these propellers there were two new D.E. six-cylinder submersible petrol engines of 80 horsepower. Each engine was housed in its own chamber, with entirely separate fuel and cooling systems. Each of these was watertight and was capable of running if the engine room became flooded and the engine was entirely submerged. The engines air intakes were set well above the waterline even when the boat was waterlogged. The Barnett-class could cruise at 9.5 knots (17.6 km/h) and had an operating range of 300 nautical miles (560 km). The class was also the first RNLI that rely solely on its engines for its motive power although the Barnett was equipped with a small staysail and trysail for stability purposes. The hull was constructed of timber and was divided into fifteen watertight compartments. The lifeboat was also the first motor lifeboat to be built with flush decks, similar to earlier steam driven lifeboats. There was a semi enclosed deck shelter which housed the on deck helm position which helped to keep the crew out of bad weather launches. Below deck there was also a cabin which could accommodate up to twenty four people. If necessary the Barnett class lifeboat was capable of caring a total of 130 rescued people.   Engine(s) & Electrical: 2 x Ford 4 cylinder diesels (with heat exchangers). Drive type: 2 pitched propellars in shafts. Maximum speed under power: 9.5kts. 2 stainless steel fuel tanks. 3 batteries charged from the engine. Shore power. 240v battery charger.   Accommodation & Below Deck: 6 berths, 3 cabins, standing headroom, cloth upholstery, curtains, hanging lockers, saloon table, wet locker, diesel heating, head with sea toilet & wash basin, 2 burner gas hob, galley sink, hot & cold water.   Deck & Canvas: Anchor, anchor windlass, stanchions, guardwires, forehatch, warps, fenders, deck lockers, tonneau cover.   Navigation & Safety: VHF, GPS, compass, navigation lights, clock, barometer, helm indicator.   Miscellaneous: Inflatable dinghy. CNB 76

    2021
    Auf Anfrage

Inaugurating a new-generation coachroof when she was launched, the CNB 76 revolutionised the relationship with space and the sea.Who would guess that behind these flowing lines there is more than two metres of standing headroom in the saloon, from which there is a perfect view of the outside world?Philippe Briand devoted all his know-how to the CNB 76, creating a yacht of masterful proportions, suited to all roles.Designed from the outset to be operated by a small crew, she can also comfortably accommodate a couple of professional crew.Access to the galley and to a generous cabin by way of the cockpit affords the crew genuine privacy.Forward of the saloon, the owner has a true suite, which still leaves two very good cabins amidships for guests. This dual role is also reflected on deck:the massive guest cockpit is never obstructed by controls, which are sent back to the area around the helming stations, above the sidedecks. On board, everything is treated as on a One-off:the professional fitting out of the galley, the light-filled environment and even the soundproofing of the engine-room.As for the integral garage, it enables a 3.85-m tender with its engine to be stowed in less than a minute, an arrangement generally reserved for a 90-foot monohull. Launched in 2014 after six months of offshore trials, seventeen CNB 76s have already been built. With the luxury of her amenities and her extensive customisation options, she is the direct descendant of CNB's One-offs.
