SEAFARER - The Bertram 28 remains the best-selling Bertram ever! Designed along the lines of the classic Bertram 31, the 28 quickly established her reputation among serious anglers as a rugged and durable offshore fisherman with comfortable accommodations. She was repowered in 1991 with Twin Marine Power-GM350 blocks 260 hp FWC engines with 2,200 hours. With an 11’ beam, SEAFARER is a spacious comfortable ride, that sleeps 4, with a convertible dinette, head, plenty of storage, and a Galley that includes a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. 2005 - Added full canvas bridge enclosure
2007 - Interior paneling supporting dinette replaced (starboard side)
2007 - New Isotherm AC/DC refrigerator / freezer
2015 - Bottom was Soda Blasted, Barrier coated and refinished

2005 - New 160 gallon aluminum fuel task - the old fuel tank was fine, but ethanol fuel will
- damage/destroy the original Bertram fiberglass tank
2008 - Rudders replaced with Bertram 35 rudders.
- These rudders are bigger than the B28 rudders so now the boat can be easily steered with only one engine running
- handy for fishing/trolling and fuel economy.
2005 - Engine raw water supply thru hulls renewed/re-bedded
2007 - Steering cable replaced (Teleflex)
2019 - Engine exhaust elbow replaced (port - side).
2021 - Port side shaft thru hull replaced and re-bedded. All new port side shaft log and engine coupler

2004 - Wiring inspected and upgraded/replaced
2004 - Automatic Battery Charger installed

- Cruising speed is 20 knots @ 2800 RPMs - very nice riding boat at this speed.
- Very rarely ever run over 3000 RPMs.
- It was repowered with all new power train in 1991.

- The radar arc folds down for over the road hauls.
- It has been launched every season since I bought it in 2004.
- It has been stored indoors for the last 4 seasons.
- Engine oil and filters (2 on each engine) has been changed every season.
