Multiplast Orma 60 Racing Trimaran

The Edge of Reason was completely refitted in 2018 as shown in the pictures. She was extended to 67ft and features comfortable living quarters on top of the main hull. Most of the equipment was bought new at the time and was barely used ever since. She sailed from Brittany France all the way to Panama without any problem. Atlantic crossing in only 9 days! However, while making a stop in Bocas Del Toro, Panama I noticed considerable deformations on the central hull. Arms and amas (side hulls) are in good state. Upon inspections from various composite experts, it was determined that the composite foam on the central hull was no longer structurally sound. The mast needed to be taken down and the vessel needed to be decommissioned to avoid catastrophic failure of the hull's composite.

During the Covid years, the vessel was stored in Bocas Del Toro. I intended to fix her once Covid was over however I have since moved on and I am now working on other projects. I no longer have the time to take care of her.

All the deck hardware and equipment were removed from the deck and put inside the boat. The boat is complete and can be put back together after the main hull has been rebuilt.
