BROKER’ S COMMENTS
The Oyster 56 is the most successful model Oyster Yachts has ever built, with seventy-five launched between 1998 and 2010. Designed to be large enough to provide rapid ocean cruising, whilst also being small and agile enough to be handled by a couple, they are a fantastically versatile for casual coastal cruising, but equally great for more adventurous ocean exploring and round the world sailing.
56-40 Beija Mar O is a stunning example. Cutter rigged with in-mast furling, she features a hydraulic furling headsail and staysail, and the perfect combination of electric and manual winches.
Additional extras include foredeck sail locker stowage which conveniently drains into the anchor locker, two additional electric capstan winches on the bow, an additional 400 litre fuel tank, an outboard crane and davits, a refrigerated cockpit table and an upgraded navigation and communication suite.
Below deck she features a spacious entertaining space, fully equipped galley, and
seven berths in four cabins, including a workshop setup for the fourth. The joinery,
crafted in American white oak, with a teak and holly sole, is classically presented
alongside cobolt blue saloon seating and beige cabin upholstery.
Recent improvements include a new teak deck, new domestic and generator
batteries, new canvaswork, serviced rudder bearings, a new CQR main anchor,
new hydraulic hoses and a full underwater antifouling and seacock overhaul.
Recently sailed by the owner from Turkey to a marina near Barcelona, she is an
offer that should not be missed and is ready to go and enjoy.
