  7. Jefferson Monticello 52

    Little Rock, Arkansas, Vereinigte Staaten
    1987
    €99.821

Rare low-cockpit configuration of the Jefferson Monticello 52 **WILL PROVIDE CERTIFIED CAPTAIN DELIVERY AT PURCHASE**  (See details and end of listing.) $110,000   Introduction The boat is in Little Rock, Arkansas. I brought her here up the rivers last year — total trip about 2000 miles from Tampa. She’s acts much newer than a 30 year old boat, and is in great condition overall. She’s turnkey as she sits, definitely no big ongoing projects or anything significant. The bottom was redone in May 2019 with a hybrid Petit Paint. The fiberglass is in 6/10 condition, some oxidation. Exterior wood is 8/10 condition.  The engines were totally replaced in 2004 (twin Cat 3126 turbo diesels, they have about 2100hrs on them) and the generator has less than 800hrs. The port transmission was acting up last year and it’s now been 100% rebuilt: essentially a brand new transmission. The starboard transmission is flawless.  The interior is really nice and clean. All teakwood throughout. No significant water damage or soft spots. Three cabins. Sleeps six easily, and could take two more on the couches. Two heads (both with showers): the aft shower has been completely redone with tile. Newer SIMRAD electronics all integrated together with hydraulic autopilot, etc. All those are from a 2014-2015 partial refit. She was used as an extended cruiser, off grid of long periods of time. There’s a high-volume water maker to attest for this. The boat’s most recent inspection was 2017 (if you’re interested I can provide that) and passed with flying colours. I can provide all that inspection report as well as any squawks that were corrected. I corrected everything, I left no stone unturned. The worst thing that has annoyed me is that when previous upgrades were made over the years, often the old wiring was left in place. So I’ve tried every chance I get to pull old stuff out, but there’s still some details to do. None of that is visible, though. The aft cockpit wood floor is a bit soft, but that’s just something I haven’t dealt with yet. My wife and I lived aboard off and on for the past couple of years, so it’s plenty of room even for a good little floating apartment/getaway. And also I’ve installed lots of little amenities like a garbage disposal and dishwasher. There’s even a washer/dryer on board. The reason for selling is that life has us going in different directions from where we were when we bought her. Really regrettable, because I love this boat. It is a spectacular space. But we’re in a different season of life right now so rather than having the boat sit and wither, she needs to go onward with someone else.  Speaking of which, whoever takes her onward, I can offer to split the cost of delivery to inland rivers or Gulf Coast within a reasonable distance. (Unless you want to do it yourself, of course.) See delivery details at the end of this listing for more information.   Certified Captain Delivery:The boat is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. That’s a bit up rivers, I admit. With purchase, I’m willing to pay the captained delivery cost within 500 mile radius of Little Rock. That’s up to Chicago on the Mississippi, Houston to Panama City on the Gulf Coast, and inland nearly anywhere on the Tennessee River up to Knoxville or the Tenn-Tom. [Of course, a few disclaimers: delivery ONLY after completed purchase and transfer of ownership. Delivery on its own bottom (i.e., not trucked delivery). Fuel costs NOT included, but will include the first full tank (500 gallons). Marina costs along the route included. Repair costs during the journey NOT included: the yacht will be your property and will be on you to cover. Insurance for the journey NOT included: again, the yacht will be your property at the time of delivery and will be your responsibility.]
