Beschreibung
The Oceanis 423, unveiled in 2002, is based on the design of Beneteau’s successful 473 and features the latest innovation of Beneteau in the field of cruising pleasure: exceptional lighting thanks to the panoramic hatch and 6’9″ headroom in the saloon, owner’s island berth, ensuite head with separate shower in the fore cabin and a deck plan designed for utmost pleasure under sail or at anchor. “Huaka’i” is the spacious 2-cabin/2-head layout, creating a large double-settee dining area with a galley that opens into a wonderful space that is fully functional, even when underway.
In 2003, a Sail Magazine review noted, “the 423’s considerable beam is carried well aft and allows for a wide cockpit; seats are teak trimmed, the coamings are tall enough and angled outboard for comfort, and the walk-through transom makes it easy to board the boat from a dinghy. The deck layout is efficient. Under sail the boat settled into a comfortable groove, was light and responsive to steer, and cut a smooth wake in the light winds of our test. With its smooth helm, surprisingly nimble hull, and attractive features, the 423 successfully offers more for less.”
Cruisers will love how well-equipped Huaka’i is, including Raymarine electronic package, 2 solar panels producing a whopping 600 Watts for long periods off-grid, Spectra watermaker, hooka dive compressor, flopper stopper, dinghy and outboard, a huge inventory of UV shades and covers for tropical sailing, and other cruiser-friendly extras, such as: UV dock filtration, dock cart, inflatable stand-up paddle board, and all the fishing gear you will need for casual cruising in Mexico.
Innumerable upgrades have been made by the last 2 owners, the most recent of which include: batteries, solar, and electrical systems (including new Lithium in 2022, new AGM Start battery in 2024, & new 3000W invertor); all sails like new, inspected, and/or updated in 2023; new standing rigging in 2015; new engine cooling system in 2025; and upgraded custom mattress in forward stateroom.
Huaka’i is a proven cruiser. She has traveled from the PNW south to Mexico and the South Pacific and is now back in Mexico in a single slip in Marina Vallarta, the marina closest to downtown Puerto Vallarta. At this time, the Marina has indicated that the slip is non-transferrable.
The current owner is also offering the extra option to negotiate a Mexican vehicle – a 2017 Kia Sportage –with the yacht.
This fully-equipped long-distance cruiser is waiting to take you on the adventure of a lifetime. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to own a truly exceptional boat, ready to create lasting memories on the water.

Accommodations
This exceptional yacht boasts molded raised bulwarks adorned with a classic teak caprail, robust amidships cleats perfect for securing spring lines, and elegant teak or stainless steel grab rails for added safety and style. The thoughtfully engineered external chain locker conceals a vertical windlass, while the sturdy stainless steel stemhead fitting features twin anchor rollers, ensuring easy anchoring. The sweptback double-spreader spars, deck-stepped for added stability, speaks to Beneteau’s commitment to sailing performance.
Step into the expansive cockpit and experience unrivalled comfort and functionality. The ergonomic fiberglass steering pedestal and console house a full Raymarine instrumentation package and a generously sized table with convenient folding leaves – ideal for entertaining or dining al fresco. There’s a large 42-inch stainless steel Destroyer-style wheel, wrapped in luxurious leather, with a helmsman’s seat that flips up to provide effortless access to transom steps and a refreshing hot water shower. Lewmar winches, positioned on the cockpit coamings, come standard as primary winches, and the spacious cockpit accommodates up to six guests with ease, so everyone can enjoy the journey. For seamless sail handling, all control lines are led aft, and additional Lewmar winches with stoppers are conveniently located port and starboard on the coachroof.
Below deck, the Beneteau 423 welcomes you with a breathtaking interior finished in Douka – a light, mahogany-family wood – accented by a warm cherry-stained varnish. Skylight hatches flood the salon with natural light, complemented by numerous opening ports and hatches for optimal ventilation. The crisp white vinyl headliner, supported by removable wood battens, adds a contemporary touch. For safety and offshore adventure, all interior floorboards and seat hatches are secured with locking devices and bolts.
Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate the starboard galley in the two-cabin model, designed for safe and efficient meal preparation underway. Enjoy the practicality of both front- and top-loading refrigeration, a gimbaled stove and induction cooktop, Granicoat countertops with attractive hardwood fiddles, ample storage in overhead lockers and under-stove drawers, and a built-in microwave nook.
The navigation station, situated to port, features a spacious chart desk with storage beneath, an outboard electrical panel, and dedicated space for navigation instrumentation.
Behind the nav station is a full head and shower, followed by the aft guest cabin, which offers an inviting athwartship double berth, a generous hanging locker, and a handy dressing seat.
The clever main saloon layout pushes the saloon right to the hull sides, maximizing living space. Storage is abundant, with louvered-door lockers outboard and a handsome bookshelf gracing the bulkhead. In the two-cabin configuration, enjoy a comfortable U-shaped dinette to starboard with wraparound seating, and a portside settee with additional storage above and behind.
At the bow, the luxurious owner’s stateroom features a superb centreline double berth and a portside settee, complete with a private ensuite head and separate shower stall for ultimate privacy and comfort. Hull-side shelves and generous under-berth drawers offer ample stowage, and the owners have additionally provided a custom, upgraded mattress.
